Army Lodging (Tower Barracks)
Assuming you’re new to the area, Army Lodging Grafenwoehr on Tower Barracks will be your first stop when arriving, departing, or TDY to Grafenwoehr Germany. Army Lodging has been welcoming guests and their pets since 2011. Staff is available 24/7 to assist you with any questions or concerns to ensure an enjoyable stay.
Before traveling, keep in mind that booking a room is on a first-come, first-served basis. As a result, the summer months are the busiest times of the year, with an influx of people.
If you find yourself unable to attain lodging while PCSing to Germany, make sure you get a Letter of Non-Availability from the receptionist. This letter will ensure you get reimbursed for your stay off base.

Army Lodging Grafenwoehr Location
Army lodging Grafenwoehr (Bldg 619) is conveniently located within walking distance to the Commissary and PX. Near the Commissary, you’ll see there is a free shuttle available to help you navigate around the two bases.
Even if you get stationed at Grafenwoehr, you’ll want to know where Vilseck Army base (Rose Barracks) is. A tank training field aka “tank trail” separates Vilseck and Grafenwoehr Army bases.
Similar to Grafenwoehr, Army Lodging at Vilseck (Bldg 275) also offers 143 rooms, continental breakfast, and is within walking distance of the Commissary and PX.

Army Lodging Services
As mentioned before, there are two bases, whichever lodging you are staying at, both have similar accommodations. Let’s go over what is available and touch on some guidelines to keep in mind during your stay.
Guest Services
The lodge has plenty of amenities to make your stay more pleasurable during this transition. Check-in time is between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. Check-out time is 11 a.m.
Upon entering the lodge, you’ll notice plenty of luggage carts to help assist in moving luggage to the room.
The reception area is a welcoming spot with a lounge area that has cozy couches, a fireplace, cable TV, a printer, and free WiFi.
Also, this is where breakfast will be served with an extended dining area out onto the patio.
Full Breakfast Complimentary Sunrise Start is available for guests
Weekdays: 6-9:30 a.m.
Weekends and Holidays: 7-10 a.m
Miscellaneous Amenities
- – Designated Pet Area: Guests with pets are advised to use dog bags and keep them on a leash when outside
- – Playground is available for the kids.
- – Laundry room and ice machine are available on each floor.

Room Types
Army Lodging provides three types of rooms for guests – Standard, Extended, and Family. Also, all the rooms have the option of ADA or pet-friendly amenities. Upon request, you can ask for a roll-away bed or a crib.
Standard Room
- – 300 sq ft
- – Queen Bed, Cable TV, In Room Safe
- – Refrigerator, microwave, & coffee maker
- – Iron and ironing board.
Extended Room
- – 375 sq ft
- – Queen Bed, Cable TV, In Room Safe
- – Refrigerator, microwave, & coffee maker
- – Iron and ironing board.
Family Room
- – 400 sq ft
- – Queen Bed, Cable TV, In Room Safe
- – Refrigerator, microwave, & coffee maker
- – Iron and ironing board
- – Kitchen with a dishwasher
- – Queen-size pull out sofa
House Keeping Guidelines
Room Service
4 or fewer nights- Daily Light Touch Service
5-7 nights- Daily Light Touch Service + 1 day of full-service cleaning
7+ nights- 2 full cleaning services each week + one change of bed linens
Towel Service
On the rack or hung up = Please don’t touch
On the floor = Please replace
Heating, Cooling, & Appliances
Heating and AC units are activated by motion sensors only if the windows are closed. For all your electronic needs, the outlets are 220 volt which will require an adapter for 120V appliances (look on the appliance or appliance cord itself to make sure they are 220V compatible first!).
