Arrive in Bruges early in the morning and explore the charming town! Up until the 1500s, the city was the trade capital of the region. It wasn’t until the 20th century that it revitalized itself as a tourist destination. And in 2000, the entire city of Bruges became a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Pro tip: take a canal cruise as early as possible! The canal trips are extremely popular, so if you arrive early at a dock, the wait will be much shorter than later in the day.
The bus will then drop you off in Brussels in the early afternoon. The capital of Belgium offers a variety of activities for any and every interest. You can browse the chocolate shops, hop from bar to bar, wander from waffle spot to frites stand, or just stroll through the streets.
And don’t forget to talk to your guide if you want ideas of what to do in Brussels! You will have nearly the entire afternoon and evening to explore the city.
